The Making of Dog Park…

Anyone who knows me doesn’t have to ask why I chose to wrote a book about a dog park. But, for those of you who don’t know me, it’s simple. I love to write, and I love dogs.

I’ve always wanted to write a book, which is why it’s so exciting to now be able to say that I have! Introducing…Dog Park!

Anyone who knows me doesn’t have to ask why I chose to wrote a book about a dog park. But, for those of you who don’t know me, it’s simple. I love to write, and I love dogs.

I have been so fortunate that my dogs have loved the dog park (it’s important to know that dog parks are not suitable for all dogs, so an experienced dog trainer should be contacted if you are unsure). Dog parks seem to take on a life of their own. From the time my bulldog Ruka joined countless other dogs in a giant mud puddle, to the resident ball stealers, and to the sweet natured elderly dogs enjoying a slow saunter with their humans, I find them so fun and full of heartwarming inspiration.

As a kid I would power through books. I remember circling any dog related book on the school book order forms, and checking out any chapter book with a dog on the cover at the library. I loved to read and was always on the lookout for a book that was entertaining and a challenge. I’d like to think that my younger self would have picked this one up off the shelf too!

Dog Park is an adventure filled chapter book aimed at children ages 7-12. It’s got a strong vocabulary so may be more suitable for older kids, or for younger kids looking for more of a reading challenge. That’s not to say any dog lover could enjoy it, even if it was read to them. 

Paper copies are available on Amazon, while digital copies are available through most online retailers.
